This Data Retention and Encryption Disclosure explains how SKE Cloud Private Limited, having its registered office in Delhi, India (“SKE Cloud”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), handles customer data, system logs, and security controls in relation to the services offered through https://www.skecloud.com.
SKE Cloud provides infrastructure-level cloud services, including virtual servers, data storage, and private communication platforms. This disclosure is intended to provide transparency regarding what data we retain, how long we retain it, and how encryption and security controls are applied, while complying with applicable laws and regulatory requirements.
All data stored, processed, or transmitted within customer virtual machines, storage volumes, backups, or private chat and collaboration servers is controlled solely by the customer. SKE Cloud does not own, create, or actively monitor customer content or communications.
Customers are responsible for managing access, encryption, backups, and data classification within their environments unless otherwise agreed in writing.
To operate and secure our infrastructure and to comply with applicable laws, SKE Cloud may collect and retain limited operational data and metadata, including:
• Assigned IP addresses and network logs
• Account registration and billing information
• Login timestamps and access records
• System and security event logs
In accordance with applicable Indian laws and CERT-In directions, SKE Cloud may retain operational logs and related information for a minimum period of 180 days or longer where required by law or lawful authority.
Customer content stored within virtual servers, storage systems, or private communication platforms is retained for the duration of the active service and may be deleted upon service termination, subject to backup cycles, legal holds, or statutory obligations.
SKE Cloud implements commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational security measures designed to protect infrastructure and systems from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.
Where supported, data may be encrypted in transit using industry-standard encryption protocols. Encryption at rest, end-to-end encryption, and key management for customer data are generally controlled and configured by the customer within their services unless explicitly provided as a managed feature.
SKE Cloud does not access customer content or private communications except:
• Where necessary to maintain or secure the infrastructure
• With the customer’s consent or request
• When required to comply with a valid legal order, court directive, or
government authority
SKE Cloud may disclose retained data, logs, or records only upon receipt of a valid and lawful request from a court, law enforcement agency, or other authorized government body, in accordance with applicable laws.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that their use of the Services complies with applicable data protection and privacy laws, including obligations related to consent, notice, data security, and retention of personal or sensitive data.
This disclosure does not constitute a guarantee of absolute security. While SKE Cloud implements reasonable safeguards, no system can be completely secure. Customers acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with cloud computing and electronic data storage.
SKE Cloud may update this Data Retention and Encryption Disclosure from time to time to reflect changes in legal, regulatory, or operational requirements. Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the updated disclosure.
